I have been gone for some time. In this difficult time, I've decided to take some time to speak with all of you. I'm not going to apologize for being gone. I needed the time to be able to be in a bad mood. I wasn't going to infect all of you with my negativity. … Continue reading A Few Words In A Time Of Difficulty

A Story and A Slow Cooker Recipe To Beat The Summer Heat
When I was a child, my mom and dad moved us from Ottawa, Ontario to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I guess technically it was my step-father but to me, at that time in life he was the only dad I knew. It was not until the age of 15 that I met my real father. That … Continue reading A Story and A Slow Cooker Recipe To Beat The Summer Heat
I’ma Changin Things Up!
Over my time away, I often thought about all of you and my blog. I missed you and writing things. I didn't miss doing the grocery sales. I found it to be too stressful. I didn't have the energy to keep up with the weekly posts with the additional energy to share my thoughts and … Continue reading I’ma Changin Things Up!

That's my Max! You might be wondering why I put a picture of my dog when the title implies that I will be explaining why I have been gone for so long. I'm going to do that but my Max is part of the whole. I'll explain in a bit. First I want to say … Continue reading I have been gone for some time now…
Random Thoughts And Other Things – 11
I had my feeding tube replaced on Monday. It went well. I stress myself out beforehand because I have had so many problems in the past. Not with the doctor at the Civic Hospital that has been helping me with my tubes in the past and on Monday. With the doctors and some nurses here … Continue reading Random Thoughts And Other Things – 11

I am a little out of my mind right now so I am going to let my Aunt Paul take over this post. I'm going through a tiny bit of hell right now with all that is going on. I am reducing my Fentanyl pain patch in preparation of my starting cannabis oil. There are so … Continue reading Tabbouleh
Turkey Meatballs with Spinach and Sundried Tomatoes
These look so good that I just had to share it with you! I apologize for my disappearing act but I’m kinda going through a slight hell right now. These were so good that I didn’t even add a sauce to them when they were cooking, I just piped some tzatziki sauce on them right before serving!

Sandie
These are the ingredients I used to make the meatballs.

I added ALL of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl…..

And mixed by fork and by hand until it was very well blended, before shaping the mixture into the meatballs. I made mine about 1 1/2 inches round.

I baked the meatballs…

Nanny’s Spaghetti Sauce And Her Secret Ingredient!
I wish I had a picture of my Nanny standing at the stove, her trusted big spaghetti pot in front of her - you know the one that all grandmothers seem to have just for the big stuff like spaghetti sauce or soup - stirring the sauce. She would have been in one of her … Continue reading Nanny’s Spaghetti Sauce And Her Secret Ingredient!
Here’s To A Happy New Year, Some Recipes And Some Small Talk!
Happy New Year everyone! Okay, I get it! I know that I'm a little behind the draw here but I have reasons. First off, I have been sick. Nothing like a stomach bug to help you bring in the new year! I'm fairly lucky though considering my fellow PALS (people living with ALS) over at … Continue reading Here’s To A Happy New Year, Some Recipes And Some Small Talk!
