Weekly Flyer Review – Groceries

This week I would like to talk about meal prep and grocery shopping. You may have noticed from some of my recipes that I tend to cook like I’m feeding an army. The reality was that I was either in a relationship with my live-in boyfriend – Scott – or alone so I was only cooking for 1 or 2 people. Here is why I always cooked so large…

I liked to create lunches for the week or freeze easy meals for later. When I got home from doing my groceries, I always took a little time to wash and prep all of my produce so it was easy to throw a quick salad together. Okay, okay, I confess! I sometimes had a beer out back before I did that! lol

I also portioned the meat – sometimes with a marinade – and then froze them for easy meals later on. When cooking meat, I always made more than what was needed so that I could use it for salads, wraps, sandwiches or just a lunch sized leftover meal. When I made salads, I always made extra for lunches or easy meals for the next couple of days. Sometimes I even hard-boiled a bunch of eggs for salad toppings or egg salad sandwiches. Mmmmmmm! I’m making myself hungry! lol

I hope that this was helpful! Here are your grocery sales for the week…
