This week’s advertising campaigns for all of the stores revolve around back to school sales. Walmart has two separate “catalogs” specifically aimed towards the back to school audience.
All of the flyers have sales on lunchbox treats. Hey, I have a question. When did grocers start advertising what normally would be considered Halloween candy as treats for the lunchbox? There is something wrong about that to me. When I was a kid, I looked forward to Halloween because that was the only time that we got to have those little chocolate bars and candy. Now kids are getting them in their lunch boxes? How is that good? What makes Halloween special?
I’m surprised that there are no sales on like apples and pears. Isn’t those lunchbox staples? Shouldn’t they be? What do I know, I’m not a parent BUT if I were my kids would NOT be getting Halloween candy for lunch!
If you have joined Ebates, Amazon has matched some of Walmart’s pricing for back to school lunchbox treats so you can earn money shopping for your needs. They also have great back to school sales at Staples, Best Buy, Chapters, Dell, Spots Check ect ect. And then there are great sales on back to school clothes at Old Navy, Joe Fresh, Globo shoes, Bently, Bluenotes, Dynamite, Anthropolgie, Garage, Suzy, Aldo, Ardene, Gap, American Eagle – all of which belong to Ebates!
